Scavenger Hunt

Anyone interested in doing a team-based photograph and collecting scavenger hunt? I was thinking things like “picture of team with a fallen tree” or “photo of clouds shaped like a cartoon character with at least one person in the photo” “stack at least five rocks and photo with the team” and things like that.

If there is interest I can start making a list and can print them out to bring to the reunion. We can also bring prizes for the kids like at the San Diego reunion, too.

We should have like a number raffle for partners, so we could have partners, and then we can make it so it is fair, and everyone isn’t thinking it is unfair when the parents pick partners, and then the grownups will survey the area that the scavenger hunt is in, so the kids don’t stray off, and so they can make sure no one gets hurt. Also, like Noam said, we should have the items related to the place we are going to. Also, maybe we could like also find like in a yard or something, a rock outline of a shape or something, so it wouldn’t be too easy. We wouldn’t want it ending so fast.

Raffle seems sketchy. I wouldn’t think that a team with Ethan and Andrew together would be a fair match against Justin and Megan, for example. There has to at least be an age and sibling balance! What makes you think that teams picked by adults are inherently unfair? Wouldn’t it be the opposite?

When I made the scavenger hunt list for our reunion in San Diego, I used google maps and photos to see the landscape and put things like “volleyball net, surf board, etc” on the list. We can do the same for this. And then for bonus items, I had things like the Quarter, Popsicle stick etc.

Ok, I have volunteered to be in charge of organizing and preparing the list for this activity. Maybe we can do it Tuesday after Avrahami’s arrive or sometime on Wednesday. Have any other adults volunteered to lead any of the other games/activities?
